Zildjian Announces
Big Band Jazz Model Drumstick

New Jazz Stick Can Drive a Big Band!!!!!!!

January 22, 2003

At the Winter NAMM show, Zildjian announced the new Big Band Jazz Model Drumstick.

Designed by Big Band Specialist and Educator Steve Fidyk, the Big Band Jazz Model Drumstick features a reverse tapered butt--end (smaller at the end than in the middle of the stick), which provides a comfortable feel and distinctive balance that provides extra "swing" to the stick. The elongated oval bead provides dark and full ride cymbal tones and full drum sounds. Measuring 15 15/16 inches long and 0.505 inches in the grip area, this full size of the stick provides enough heft to drive a big band while the long taper provides a great deal of sensitivity. The Big Band Jazz Model Drumstick is constructed from U.S. Select Hickory at the Zildjian Stick Factory in Moundville, AL.
